Frequently Asked Questions

What is your service area?

We routinely travel to towns in Hartford County, including but not limited to: East Windsor, Ellington, Somers, Enfield, Bloomfield, West Hartford, Manchester and South Windsor.

How does your service work?

We are a completely mobile veterinary clinic that visits you and your animal at your home.  The major difference between our fees and those of a regular veterinary clinic is our fee to come to your location.  This is called a “House Call” fee and varies based on your location.

Can you see an animal in my house?

Yes. We often see elderly animals that have difficulty with mobility or animals that are afraid to leave the house.

* We are temporarily suspending in-home appointments due to COVID-19, see below *

How can I schedule an appointment?

Call us at 860-682-0354. We can travel to your house or you can come to us at one of the locations where we see appointments.

What is the length of the appointment?

We spend 35 to 45 minutes with your pet. Please have cats in carriers and ready to be seen so that this time is not spent finding your pet.

What are the charges for you to examine my pet?

  • There is a house call fee, which begins at $65 and depends upon how far we have to travel.
  • There is also an exam fee, depending on the type of exam:
    • Yearly wellness exam is $60
    • Sick animal exam fee is $75
    • Emergency fee is $150

What forms of payment do you take?

We accept cash and credit cards.

What are your protocols due to the COVID-19 pandemic?

We are taking the upmost precautions due to the pandemic to make sure you and your pet stay healthy! We are still safely performing house calls maintaining proper social distance with our team.

Our current procedure is parking our 28-foot mobile unit in your driveway for an exam. Cats must be brought out in carriers and dogs brought on leashes out to the mobile unit- we will NOT be able to go inside your home. We ask that a minimum of six feet and masks to be worn when interacting with any of our team according to CDC guidelines.
